No Ranked Choice Voting in Alabama

Vote Description
This bill prohibits elections officials from using ranked choice voting systems to determine the winners of elections. Ranked choice voting is a system wherein the second place candidate may win an election by receiving votes from other losing candidates. CPAC opposes ranked choice voting systems and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on May 2, 2024 by a vote of 74-28 and the bill later became law.
