This bill establishes the Alabama Growth Alliance. This organization will have the authority to influence the long-range economic development of Alabama and engage in various actions that will help Alabama move toward its goals over the long run. CPAC opposes central planning efforts and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 23, 2024 by a vote of 31-0 and the bill later became law.
