This bill prohibits county election officials from using ballot “drop boxes” as a means of collecting absentee ballots. CPAC opposes measures that reduce election security, recognizes that ballot drop boxes reduce election security, and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on March 15, 2023 by a vote of 29-6 and the bill later became law.
