SB 84
Expanding the Number of University Faculty that Qualify for Loan Forgiveness.
2023 - Colorado Senate
Vote Description

This bill requires public institutions of higher education to credit college faculty with 4.35 hours worked for each credit or contact hour that they work for the purpose of fulfilling Colorado’s loan forgiveness program requirements. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to help pay off other people’s tuition, opposes the expansion of programs that engage in this practice, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 9, 2023 by a vote of 22-12 and the bill later became law.
