This bill allows the Delaware Department of Agriculture to reimburse dairy farmers of the cost of the premium they must pay in order to participate in one of the federal government’s dairy margin coverage program. CPAC believes that the government should not support certain industries over others in this way and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 26, 2024 by a vote of 21-0 and the bill was signed into law.
