2023 - Florida Senate

Vote Description

This bill prohibits the government from giving out public contracts to China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria when doing so would allow any of these governments to access a person’s private information. The bill also prohibits the government from offering economic incentives to the governments of these countries. Additionally, it prohibits these governments from purchasing a controlling interest in any plot of Florida’s agricultural land. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to further the US’ security interests and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 4, 2023 by a vote of 31-8 and the bill later became law.
