This bill creates the Unauthorized Alien Transport Program, the likes of which will help move Florida’s illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities and states. In practice, this effort has led to the movement of illegal immigrants to areas that vote in favor of policies that allow illegal immigrants to easily enter the United States. CPAC supported this bill because of the boons that it proffered to both liberals and conservatives. For the conservative-leaning states along the border, it helped alleviate the illegal immigration crisis plaguing towns and cities. It additionally gave liberal-leaning states the privilege of experiencing the effects of the deleterious policies that they voted for. The Senate passed this bill on February 8, 2023 by a vote of 27-12 and the bill later became law.
