SB 144
Clarifying Liability for Pesticide Manufacturers
2025 - Georgia House of Representatives
Vote Description

SB 144 makes it clear that pesticide manufacturers cannot be held liable for failing to warn consumers beyond EPA standards. CPAC believes that defaulting to the national EPA standard eliminates ambiguity for businesses, so CPAC supports this bill. SB 144 was passed by the Georgia House of Representatives in a 101-58 vote on March 13, 2025, and it was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp.
