Vote Description
This bill requires fiduciaries of retirement system funds to solely invest such funds based on pecuniary factors. It prohibits these fiduciaries from investing funds based on nonpecuniary factors, including those associated with ESG ratings. CPAC supports efforts to diminish the influence of ESG scoring systems and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 6, 2023 by a vote of 54-0 but the bill never became law.
