This bill requires the commissioner of corrections to inform federal authorities of the immigration status of the individuals detained at the Department of Correction’s facilities. CPAC supports efforts to enforce federal immigration law and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 21, 2024 by a vote of 34-19 and the bill was signed into law.
