This bill allows local boards of education to impose and collect educational development impact fees to accommodate growth in the area. CPAC believes that such accommodations should be financed with existing funds and not through the establishment of new fees and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 29, 2024 by a vote of 49-2 but the bill never became law.
