SB 68
Tort-Reform Bill
2025 - Georgia Senate
Vote Description

SB 68 ensures tort litigation in Georgia is handled more efficiently and fairly. The bill includes protections against onerous “phantom charges,” which force defendants to pay for damages never incurred. CPAC believes that efforts to ensure monetary rewards reflect actual damages are worthwhile, and it supports this bill. SB 68 was passed by the Georgia Senate in a 34-21 vote on March 20, 2025, and it was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on April 21, 2025.
