Vote Description
This bill directs the State Equity Committee to assist the State Board of Education in identifying “diverse” subject matter experts to help inform the policy of task forces and committees that it oversees. CPAC opposes the extension of the power and authority of state DEI bureaucracies and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 17, 2023 by a vote of 81-31 and the bill later became law.
