This bill requires that public schools designate their sports teams as being for males, females, or both (coed). It then prohibits the school from allowing males to play on teams designated for females. CPAC supports efforts to create a safe and fair environment of play in school sports and supported this bill. The House overrode Governor Kelly’s veto of this bill on April 5, 2023 by a vote of 84-40 and the bill later became law.
