This bill removes requirements that there be a specific number of people of the same gender in appointive positions in the state government. CPAC supports efforts to crack down on sex and gender-based quotas in appointments and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 20, 2024 by a vote of 32-15 and the bill later became law.
