Banning Ranked Choice Voting in Louisiana.

Vote Description
This bill forbids the use of ranked choice voting in any of Louisiana's elections. Ranked choice voting is a system of voting in which an individual who places second in an election may win the election by receiving the votes of other losing candidates. CPAC opposes ranked choice voting methods and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on May 15, 2024 by a vote of 73-23 and the bill later became law.
