Vote Description

This bill prohibits election officials from implementing any federal directives targeting the administration of an election if they do not have an explicit legal requirement to do so or the authorization of a certain legislative committee. CPAC supports efforts to ensure that states maintain control of the election process and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 4, 2023 by a vote of 27-9 but Governor Edwards vetoed this bill.
