This bill allows the cap on the maximum amount of unemployment benefits that one may receive to fluctuate based on the state's unemployment rate. CPAC supports efforts to maintain the unemployment system's status as a temporary bridge between jobs and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 21, 2024 by a vote of 27-11 and the bill later became law.
