Vote Description
This roll call vote attempts to override a veto that the Governor made of a $2,500,000 appropriation to Massachusetts’ “Home and Healthy for Good” Grant Program. This funding would help provide housing for people and support various other housing initiatives. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay off other people’s housing costs and supported the Governor’s veto. The House overrode the Governor’s line-item veto of these funds on September 27, 2023 by a vote of 153-0.
