This bill establishes the Office of Tenant and Landlord Affairs, the likes of which will work to develop a Tenants’ Bill of Rights. CPAC opposes the expansion of the bureaucracy, opposes government micromanagement of the relationship between landlords and tenants, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 27, 2024 by a vote of 94-39 and the bill later became law.
