This bill increases the number of bonds that may be issued by the Maryland Stadium Authority for a sports entertainment facility by $20,000,000. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be placed on the hook in order to pay for sports facilities and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 9, 2023 by a vote of 47-0 and the bill later became law.
