This bill requires that all people first receive a license from their local law enforcement in order to purchase a firearm within the state of Michigan. CPAC supports the founders’ belief in the Second Amendment and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 8, 2023 by a vote of 56-53 and the bill later became law.
