HF 2
Instituting a Costly and Onerous Paid Leave Mandate.
2023 - Minnesota House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill forces businesses within the state of Minnesota to offer up to 20 weeks of paid family and medical leave to their employees each year, a move that will cost Minnesotan businesses upwards of $1,500,000,000. CPAC recognizes that this measure will severely damage the financial state of Minnesotan businesses, believes that employees should negotiate their benefits with their employers without government interference, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 17, 2023 by a vote of 68-62 and the bill later became law.
