This omnibus bill, the likes of which represents Minnesota’s many other omnibus bills in this scorecard, appropriates money to the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund and various other funds. Hidden within it are appropriations for a jazz festival, “underrepresented groups” studies materials, “Monkeybear’s” Harmolodic Workshop, and many other pet projects. While CPAC does not necessarily oppose every provision in this bill, it still opposes Minnesota’s habit of hiding terrible appropriations in 100+-page omnibus bills. CPAC, thus, opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 9, 2024 by a vote of 115-13.
