This amendment deletes a provision in HB 2010 that apportioned over $50,000,000 in federal funds to COVID-19 mitigation efforts. CPAC recognizes that the pandemic has long since ended, believes that such funds should be used to defray other taxpayer costs, and opposed this amendment. The House passed this amendment on April 2, 2024 by a vote of 92-44.
