This amendment prohibits administrators at public universities from using money appropriated to the state’s educational endeavors to fund DEI initiatives. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to help pay for DEI initiatives, opposes DEI in public schools, and supported this amendment. The Senate defeated this amendment on April 25, 2023 by a vote of 14-18.
