This bill expands the jurisdiction of the State Capitol police to the entirety of the city of Jackson, Mississippi. CPAC supports efforts to increase security throughout the city and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 31, 2023 by a vote of 73-41 and the bill later became law.
