This bill prohibits the government from keeping a registry of gun owners within the state. It also prohibits financial institutions from engaging in certain types of discrimination against firearms retailers and from disclosing certain information pertaining to gun owners. CPAC supports efforts to reduce the government’s inappropriate efforts to surveil gun owners and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 7, 2023 by a vote of 40-12 and the bill later became law.
