Vote Description
This bill contains a variety of provisions aimed at improving the state’s agricultural sector. Included in these provisions is loosened funding requirements for the promotion of new and emerging crops and an expansion of North Carolina’s swine and dairy assistance program. While not every provision in S 355 is objectionable, CPAC opposes measures that mix and syncretize bad provisions into large omnibus bills instead of voting on them separately. CPAC, therefore, opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 27, 2024 by a vote of 104-0 and the bill was signed into law.
