Vote Description

This bill prohibits the government from keeping a registry of all who purchase guns within the state. It also prevents financial institutions from discriminating against consumers who have engaged in lawful gun purchases. CPAC supports the founders’ belief in the Second Amendment, opposes attempts to inappropriately surveil gun owners, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 24, 2023 by a vote of 81-10 and the bill later became law.
