SB 2247
Releasing Students and Teachers from the Shackles of CRT.
2023 - North Dakota Senate

Vote Description
This bill prohibits public institutions of higher education from discriminating against students and faculty because of their refusal to affirm certain divisive concepts. These concepts include those that teach that one’s moral character is determined by their race, those that state that one is responsible for the malfeasance of the past actions of other members of their race, and those that promote the violent overthrow of the US government. CPAC opposes attempts to cram down CRT-adjacent theories onto students and faculty and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 19, 2023 by a vote of 40-7 and the bill later became law.
