HB 142
Throwing Financial Assistance at the Burgess Biopower Plant.
2023 - New Hampshire House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill provides a financial extension for a wood-burning plant that has, according to Governor Sununu, cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies since 2014. CPAC supports all forms of energy, does not believe that the interests of taxpayers should be sacrificed at the altar of the climate agenda, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 23, 2023 by a vote of 269-109 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Sununu.
