This bill nearly doubles the minimum monthly benefits that may be apportioned through New Jersey’s Minimum Benefits program. CPAC opposes the continued expansion of the welfare state and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on January 26, 2023 by a vote of 72-5 and the bill later became law.
