This bill, among other provisions, adds to cosmetology and barbering regulations, oversight of those seeking to be shampoo technicians. CPAC opposes the proliferation of these occupational licenses that are primarily designed to restrict competition and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on December 19, 2024 by a vote of 61-10 and the bill later became law.
