This bill enables counties to assess a new 0.5% gross receipts tax on businesses to help fund hospital capital projects in the county. CPAC opposes gross receipts taxes and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 17, 2023 by a vote of 65-2 and the bill later became law.
