Vote Description

This bill enables counties to assess a new 0.5% gross receipts tax on businesses to help fund hospital capital projects in the county. CPAC opposes gross receipts taxes and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 10, 2023 by a vote of 29-8 and the bill later became law.
