SB 210
Instituting DEI Requirements for State Appointments.
2023 - Nevada Assembly
Vote Description

This bill states that it is the public policy of Nevada to appoint people that reflect the ethnic and gender identity diversity of the state to state boards and other public positions. CPAC believes that individuals should be appointed to government positions because of their merits and not because of their perceived “gender identity” and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on May 22, 2023 by a vote of 27-14 but Governor Lombardo vetoed the bill.
