This bill establishes a “Clean Trucks and Buses” Incentive Program, the likes of which will dole out monetary incentives to organizations such that various public and private entities may more easily purchase low-emissions medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 3, 2023 by a vote of 18-2 and the bill later became law.
