SB 363
Instituting a New Marriage Penalty on Affordable Housing.
2023 - Nevada Senate
Vote Description

This bill allows bureaucrats operating Nevada’s Account for Affordable Housing to prioritize the funding of housing projects aimed at assisting formerly incarcerated women and single people with children. CPAC sees no good reason to transform formerly incarcerated women into a privileged group, believes that this law inappropriately incentivizes single parenthood, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 20, 2023 by a vote of 18-3 and the bill later became law.
