Adding Many Categories to Prohibited Restrictive Covenants

Vote Description

The bill adds sex, religion, sexual orientation and marital status and other add-ons to restrictive covenants that were meant to prevent to eliminate racial discrimination. CPAC believes that single people have a right to live near other single people if they wish and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed the bill on April 2, 2025 by a vote of 100-48 but the bill never received final approval.
