This bill amends existing law to expand protections for abortions within the state of New York. For example, it expands the list of people who may not cooperate with out-of-state governments investigating abortions to include all government employees. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, opposes its protection, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 30, 2023 by a vote of 39-22 and the bill later became law.
