This bill institutes several provisions that further the Left’s climate agenda. For example, it creates a rebate program for medium-and heavy-duty emission vehicles and extends the sunset date on the solar and storage rebate program. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 24, 2023 by a vote of 34-16 and the bill later became law.
