HB 2001
Enriching Developers by Involving the Government Further in Housing Markets.
2023 - Oregon Senate
Vote Description

This bill creates various initiatives that further entangle the government in the housing market. For example, the bill expends $20,000,000 to help construct modular housing and apportions another $3,000,000 for predevelopment loans. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to finance other people’s housing and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 21, 2023 by a vote of 21-7 and the bill later became law.
