This bill extends by another year the privilege tax that Oregon has levied on merchantable forest products harvested on forestlands. CPAC opposes unnecessary increases in the tax burden and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 22, 2023 by a vote of 22-2 and the bill later became law.
