Vote Description

This bill establishes a grant program meant to give prospective teachers $8,000 per year to help them defray the costs of their education. CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to pay the costs of other people’s higher education and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 2, 2023 by a vote of 119-81 but the bill did not progress in the Senate.
