SB 838
Pro-Workforce Probation Reform.
2023 - Pennsylvania House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill establishes probation review conferences that will make it easier for reformed individuals to terminate their probation early. CPAC’s Nolan Center for Justice is a national leader in conservative solutions to the justice system and works to cut crime, reduce taxpayer costs, protect victims, define the proper scope of government, and safely reduce incarceration rates. CPAC supports efforts to reintegrate genuinely reformed criminals back into society and reduce recidivism rates. CPAC, therefore, supported this bill. The House passed this bill on December 13, 2023 by a vote of 178-25 and the bill later became law.
