This bill provides penalties for making false statements concerning unemployment insurance and lays out what the rules are regarding ineligibility for compensation. CPAC supports making clear what the rules are regarding eligibility for compensation for a program meant to be temporary while seeking employment and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on May 1, 2024 by a vote of 31-19 but the bill was not taken up by the House.
