Vote Description
This bill adds hairstyles associated with particular races to the list of attributes protected under Rhode Island’s anti-discrimination laws. CPAC opposes the constant growth of anti-discrimination laws, recognizes that they are regularly abused by greedy plaintiff lawyers, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 13, 2024 by a vote of 67-4 but the bill did not become law.
