This bill clarifies that a person does not have to solemnize a marriage if they have religious or conscience objections to the union. CPAC supports efforts to prevent the government from forcing people to act against their will to solemnize particular unions and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 12, 2024 by a vote of 27-5 and the bill later became law.
