Articles of Impeachment Against Ken Paxton.
2023 - Texas Senate
Vote Description

This year, members of the Texas House led by Speaker Dade Phelan attempted to impeach the state’s duly elected attorney general, Ken Paxton, on various charges and allegations. Prior to the last election, voters were already aware of the nature of many of these charges and elected Ken Paxton anyways. This means that Speaker Phelan, in coordination with the crony RINO’s that infest the Texas House, attempted to impeach Mr. Paxton on allegations that, in the eyes of the voters, did not justify his removal from office. CPAC recognizes that this move was thereby contrary to the will of Texas voters and opposed these articles of impeachment. The Senate voted to acquit Mr. Paxton and only 2 Republicans voted with Democrats to impeach the attorney general.
